Elopement Day Adventure: Hiking in Utah’s Zion National Park

Bri and Ethan were so much fun to hang out with at Zion. I was SO worried about how these pictures would turn out and how our hike would go— we watched the weather for a week before this day and ended up rescheduling it from Friday night to Saturday morning because of rain. The weather looked fine so we were planning to do a sunrise session but, guess what? It rained. (That seems to happen a lot to us haha, maybe we’re cursed)

We had all driven to Springdale from St. George for the sunrise session so we decided to get breakfast and try to wait out the rain. We got some crepes from a super cute restaurant right outside the park and caught up while the rain blew over. Luckily, right as we were finishing our meal the skies cleared up a bit and we decided to go in to the park.

We went on a two mile hike up to a gorgeous overlook. The hike was muddy AF and we passed a few other people on the way, but luckily the rain deterred a lot of people. We were lucky— Zion is one of the most visited national parks in the country so it can get really crowded if you’re there at the wrong time! Luckily we had the top to ourselves so we took our time getting some amazing shots before heading back down to the car.

Here’s some of my favorites from that day!
